A very practical and sheer elegant item with great Streamline Art Deco design. Made in the 1930s when etiquette was in the lead and showing no signs of slowing down. The petite silver-plate tongs wait patiently at the peak of the arch. The tong-holder, also silver-plate has a nice stepped square base and is stamped "800".
