1930s Art Deco Vase • Müller Freres

Item #1038

Here's an absolutely perfect little art deco vase manufactured by the Müller Freres in Luneville, France. This superb smoke-colored vase sports a magnificent and quite complex linear, geometric and leaf-inspired design. A remarkable sense of depth has been achieved by embossing and beveling the glass resulting in a very spectacular vase.

The Measurements:
6-1/4" Tall X 5-1/2" Diameter

About Müller Frères:
The Müller family originated from Kalhauzen and rested on a long tradition of glass workers. When the German Empire annexed the Elsace in 1871, the Müller family fled to the quieter Lunéville. Henri Muller set up an independent glass workshop in Lunéville. His brothers soon joined him, and the Muller Frères Glassworks was born. The Müllers mastered all well-known glass decorating techniques and experimented with new methods. They soon developed into a renowned company and established a name for their large diversity and quality.
