Absolutely outstanding quality all round being constructed from silvered bronze , black vitrolite and vitreous fired enamel and from one of the top Swiss makers Doxa who are most well known today for their very high end professional deep dive watches. Silvered bronze case is in superb condition with original silver plating. Heavy 1/4" thick bevelled edge black Vitrolite piece to the base and curved pieces flanking the dial : the red, black and grey accent lines below the dial are fired vitreous enamel - not painted on! The rear of the clock is finished in satin silver plate and has it's original winding key and hand set knob.

Beautiful frosted silver dial with amazing severe geometric silver deco numerals and hands , signed on the dial DOXA 8 DAYS SWISS MADE . High grade fully jewelled 8 day Doxa movement is in excellent working order, runs fine . This clock is easily on a par with anything from the likes of LeCoultre , Cartier , Omega etc and must have been a very expensive high end clock when sold new in the 1930's!
