Fabulous Degue signed glass and iron table lampItem #1326 Superb 1930's large French Art Deco lamp. The shade in modernist design and is signed Degué. The glass is thick moulded glass. I have not had one this size in a long time. It has a diameter of around 10 1/4" and a height 18". Excellent condition. The stand is in wrought iron of outstanding quality. The support holding the glass has been renewed. The lamp has been re-wired in cloth wire with a nice chord on/off switch to match. David Gueron, (Degué), founded his factory and showroom in Paris in 1926, which he called Verrerie D’Art Degué. Here he put his full attention on the designing and production of art deco luxury art-glass. Degué mainly produced vases, lamps and chandeliers, and his glass has become world-renowned and highly collectable because of the remarkable quality of the moulding and deep rich colours.
