This is an absolutely fabulous piece of artwork, signed by Claude Lacaze. The painting is beautifully executed, with lovely details, such as the woman's posture and feminine  style. The palette of rich earth-tones and the elements of Cubism in the background give the piece a modernist flair. The painter, Claude Lacaze, was born in France in 1938. He studied art in Bordeaux, had a one man exhibition at Paris Rue Visconti, and was professor of fine art at the College de Puyguilen. He was also a member of the society La Maison des Artistes. This painting (including frame) measures 28" W x 35" T. The painting measures 23" W x 30" T.
