Spectacular hammered Tiffany style Chandelier, Arts & CraftsItem #1670 SOLDMagnificent hand-hammered copper arts and crafts, secessionist era Chandelier, circa 1910 -- European or American in origin. Dramatic configuration and what a special mood this light will be put you in. The fixture includes twelve 3/4" opalescent chunky jewels (identical to Tiffany Studios). Also, twelve 1 3/4" red chunky glass jewels and four 3 1/2" opalescent chunky oval jewels, likely from the same maker as the 3/4" icebergs. milk glass center panel, cut corner, glass straw enclosures four corner lights with glass straw enclosures. The riveted hammered copper work is of rare quality, nice original patina and even the chains are hand-hammered. There are four canopy lights! Even though the fixture is not signed, it obviously was made with a sensitivity to detail and design. Definitely 12 Tiffany jewels embedded in this dynamic light, it certainly leads one to consider that it might actually have been done by Tiffany. Since we do not know for sure (yet), it is something certainly worth investigating. This fixture is in amazing original condition, does not need a thing, but the right room. |
Modernist Amercian chandelier with all original bakeliteItem #1630 SOLD We don't carry too many American chandeliers, but this has always been one of my favorites. It has so many nice details: original bakelite center shaft support and also the original switch on the stepped bottom support plate. I love the look of it with ribbed amber glass, it just compliments the amber bakelite. The metal work is also very nice in an original dark bronzed patina. You can make it any size drop you want, just be adding more chain to the center support and attaching it to the matching canopy (which also echoes the same stepped design as the bottom metal support. Very theatrical and could look great in any Art Deco setting. Measurements: |

Modernist Petitot hanging chandelier Peach glass French Art DecoItem #1601 SOLD Very interesting design. I love the chrome and copper with the peach glass. It has always been a favorite design color combination for me. Super Petitot modern design. The center hanging metal has the nice chrome tube that is surrounded by copper metal rods, just big enough to make a difference. The diameter echoes the glass edge which lights up nicely when the bulbs are turned on. A wonderful design for use. Measurements: |

French Modernist Petitot hanging chandelier Peach Circa 1930'sItem #1599 SOLD Beautiful suspended ceiling light, an original piece made by famous French Deco lighting company Petitot. This is a wonderful example of their designs with a strong modernist flair using peach glass with sandblasted edges. Dynamic design which would look great supporting most all art deco environments. This is also particularly nice with the modernist canopy design. Play close attention to the way the glass intersects the base of the light with a strong vertical element that echoes the stem by which it is hung. Measurements: |

Art Nouveau Nickel chandelier with Schneider glass true ModernismItem #1550 SOLD A wonderful new fixture just added to the Art Deco Collection. In the piece, Art Nouveau meets Art Deco and both styles seem to coexist together nicely. The metal work is well designed and very detailed as indicated by the photos listed here. The glass is signed Schneider and the blue / yellow molted color really sets itself off in contrast to the clean bright metalwork. Nice size and a very dynamic piece. Enjoy! Measurements: |

Spectacular French Art Deco Silver plate Bronzy hanging Mueller styleItem #1549 SOLD Wow, wow, wow, this is the real deal. Totally restored, refinished and ready to go. The unique French 5 slipper shade striated Mueller style glass is a site to behold. More and more difficult to get these stunning French fixtures anymore. This one is really great. The metalwork is intricate, detailed and nicely executed. Newly refinished black lacquer stem holds 5 beautiful unsigned pieces of modernist glass. I have certainly had this pattern before signed by Mueller. It is a real stunner. Measurements: |

Outstanding French Art Deco chandelier by P D'AvesnItem #1502 SOLD This is a wonderful light utilizing a circle motif showing something unique in a fixture of this kind: A true integration of metal and glass. There is no question that the metal frame design was made specifically for this glass. It is wonderful to see that the artistry of the piece by Pierre D'Avesn is truly complete. In my mind, he is one of the great French glass artists and very under valued in the world of collectibles. So many people know the name "Lalique" but we feel D'avesn deserves more fame! I have had a few very outstanding glass pieces by this artist, but this one is quite exceptional. The French iron or "fer forge" is simple and delicate with an intertwining circle motive, not only in the lower shade but also repeated all the way up the shaft of the fixture, finishing in a wonderful glass canopy you rarely see in these original period pieces. The glass has a rather opalescent color and quality.Just the thing for that "perfect place". About D'Avesn Measurements:

Spectacular Movie Theater Style Two-tier Art Deco chandelierItem #1423 SOLD This may be one of the more elaborate, intricate and high style chandeliers we have had in quite some time. Outrageous design and great quality. Take a moment and study these photos, lots of details. First, there is this wonderful two-tier light assembly, if you look up, its like those huge chandeliers' you might see hanging from a classic Art Deco movie theater ceiling. A kind of stepped flowery lily treatment. If that is not enough, you have this wonderful metalwork, combining both a cubist feeling, as indicated in the canopy and sub canopy and this wonderful bronzy metal cut-out on the bottom portion and also on the inside glass slats. You could add chain to be able to hang this for any height or you could use only a single canopy and do a flush ceiling mount treatment. Either way would look fantastic. The two tone slag panels fit perfectly and are secured with small supports inside the metal panels. This is a quality fixture that certainly was constructed originally with great. It is in perfect condition. Measurements: |

Nice highly polished chrome lamp with 5 clear glass tulips, both frosted and clear in design. The glass is new, but the lamp has been restored with all new electronics. Spectacular sculptural Art Deco light with tangerine glassItem #1378 SOLD I bet you have never seen this one before! European in origin, I was totally taken with this piece for many reasons, some more obvious than others. The over-all design is just breathtaking. The tremendous amount of detailing in the metalwork lets you know this was a limited edition not a production piece. Every aspect, every angle has something to say. The repeated faces echo the carved arms, base and canopies. It is so sculptural: imagine having a piece like this hanging somewhere in your house and in addition to giving you light, you can admire these really wonderful details. The tangerine color glass stepped tulip cups are also very special. They are a great contrast to the antique nickel finish. The adjustable chain allows you to hang this piece and make it work in just about any setting. I can't say enough about it. You had better get this one right away, because this is not your mother's slip shade chandelier! Measurements: |

Art Deco Modernist Degue Starburst Hanging Ceiling lightItem #1330 SOLD Exceptional French Degue hanging light. Fabulous signed piece on each piece of glass. Great modernist design with original brass signed (numbered) nickel frame. 4 pieces of glass make up this starburst design. The smooth geometric and contrasting detailed polished nickel body of this fixture has taken on a gentle patina with age. Strong Modernist infinity lines taper to the ceiling canopy to create a ceiling-heightening illusion. This medium-sized fixture would be perfect in the dining room, bedroom or any room in the house. David Gueron, (Degué), founded his factory and showroom in Paris in 1926, which he called Verrerie D’Art Degué. Here he put his full attention on the designing and production of art deco luxury art-glass. Degué mainly produced vases, lamps and chandeliers, and his glass has become world-renowned and highly collectable because of the remarkable quality of the moulding and deep rich colours. 1930's French by Degue yellow/gold Geometric hanging chandelierItem #1325 SOLD A magnificent and rare 1930's French Art Deco ceiling fixture by the world-renowned cameo art glassmaker Degué. The fixture has clearly been cherished over the years and is in absolutely perfect condition. The yellow frosted glass "vasque" is hand-moulded from extremely thick pate de verre, and the quality and thickness of the glass can be judged by the fact that the glass alone weighs 6 lbs/3 kg. The shape and design of the glass are extremely eye-catching, and I have included several photographs of the fixture both lit and unlit that I hope do full justice to the detail in the design. The glass drops into a central dome at the base, and this is decorated with a striking geometric design of flowers and stars. All of this decoration is raised substantially in the moulding to create a wonderful three-dimensional effect. The upper edge of the glass is signed Degué and the inside rim is stamped with the model number, 1050. The fixture is suspended by the four gold chains and matching ceiling rose. The length of the chains is easily adjustable so that the overall drop of the fixture can be altered if required, and I can supply additional chain should the buyer wish. There are two light fittings above the glass vasque that take standard bulbs and the fixture is fully wired for use and in perfect working order. Stylized Theatrical Bronze Art Deco ChandelierItem #1260 SOLD Very nice Art Deco Chandelier with great lines and detail throughout. Very much in the movie theater style, easy to see this one hanging in the lobby or above a dining table or entry way. I love all the cut outs for glass and light, plus the crescendo stylized repeats with a very strong deco influence. One could also extend the drop easily with adding some brass/bronzed chain to make this any drop length needed. Measurements |

Rare Art Deco Alabaster ChandelierItem #1201 SOLD Very rare and original Art Deco Alabaster Chandelier with 8 arm tulip extensions. I would place this fixture around 1925-1930. It is a serious piece that would look great in your fabulous Art Deco room. Either over a dining table, large entryway or living space. It is superior quality. The metal is nickeled bronze, cased with nice elements showing the tradition from roots of art deco moving to a more modern treatment. What is also great is the repeat of the etching in the alabaster and the metal. One can see this was not a marriage of spare parts, but the original intention of the designer (unknown to me). Also, the color of the alabaster has that amber age that only develops after years of exposure to sun, light, smoke and whatever else was present in the room(s) where it lived all these years. Here is a chance to get something quite unique and I can't say I've ever offered or seen a piece quite like this before. The size is 27" X 27" X 58" hang. |

Item #012 SOLDThis is one of the finest fixtures I've ever seen. The condition is mint. The fixture has been completely rewired, new sockets, polished, chromed and cleaned inside and out. The lamp reflects its original Matt aluminum and also the polished speed lines are emphasized between each globe. There is also black detail to enhance these lines. This is a wonderful piece, with 5 frosted glass shades, all ribbed and detailed with lots of character and design. The metal was also designed to go just with this glass, you can see the relationship of the design throughout. There is also a bottom shade with matching finial as well. The lamp drops 15" from the ceiling and is 18" wide. You could easily make a longer rod if you wanted the lamp to hang down further. |
