Spectacular hand made "Drop Dead" French UTI Art Deco Clock

A fabulous French deco clock by UTI Paris, I really think this is something special! Maybe it was made for a salon or exhibition as every piece of the clock is hand made and all pieces are marked or numbered for assembly. Usually a master would be made and then pieces would be cast or stamped out of metal for a production run.

The work is really quite exquisite and to the highest standards, I've certainly never seen anything like it before! The case is silver plated bronze with black vitrolite panels and the stepped design is really something. When you think of the "zig zag" idea, this clock embodies it all, since it steps up and also steps to the side. Hard to imagine anyone could design this and also have it made.

The dial is frosted silver with heavy bevelled edge patinated bronze batons and deco sword hands. It has a very high quality 19"' Lemania 8 day movement and as you might know about watches I'm sure you'll have heard of this noted Swiss company, better known for their complicated watch movements. It's in fabulous all round condition, the narrowest piece of vitrolite on the left hand side does have a small crack near the bottom but it's not very noticeable. It's also very very heavy and a great size.

Very unusual Marti art deco copper clock

When you think you've seen them all, then something new comes along that amazes you. What a wonderful and very rare clock. Manufactured by "Marti" high quality 8 day movement. Most likely of French origin, circa 1930's. Nice original copper finish in great condition with a very unusual dial-amber with sand blasting, etching and enamel color. What a sweet piece, I love the simple stylized numbers as well. Not a huge piece, but has a big look. Newly serviced movement.

Fabulous French Art Deco Clock by C. Terras

A very rare and large model C.Terras silvered bronze clock Art Deco clock. Fantastic stepped design with geometric stylized birds and decoration. Unsigned but I've had a couple of models in the past with a signature and it's obviously Terras's work. 8 day striking movement which has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in perfect working order. It's complete with it's original pendulum and key.

This is a wonderful little time traveler. We rarely find cool clocks like this. Circa 1930s and completely restored and in near perfect condition. Wonderful stepped black lacquer base with copper plated side metal all refinished to perfect mint green painted finish. Wonderful original clock which would look great next to the bed or wherever you might find a lovely place for this art deco clock.

A fabulous 1940's Art Deco Machine Age Jaeger LeCoultre 8 day clock

Nice Outer frame and foot, made from black anodized aluminum, has faded over the years and as the light catches it has a beautiful dark bronze color, in perfect condition with no damages or repairs. Gilt bronze geometric decorative pieces at the top and bottom and either side, also has gilt bronze pierced chapter ring and movement cover, signed Jaeger LeCoultre to the front of the movement holder.

Front and rear glass are both original and in perfect condition with no chips or scratches. Very high quality fully jeweled LeCoultre 222 Calibre 8 day movement and has just been fully serviced and overhauled, new mainspring etc, and is in perfect working order.

Unusual English Deco Modernist Clock by Norland

This is a fantastic clock with a great streamline design , veneered in figured walnut and satin birch with a black lacquered base , silvered bronze numerals and silver lacquered brass hands. This is quite an unusual design and a clock I have never seen before. Wonderful clock that was made by a small company called Norland Clock who were only in business for a very short while before being swallowed up by one of the bigger clock companies. The movement was in a very poor state when I got the clock and no parts are available. We have fitted it with a new high quality high torque quartz movement and even went to the effort to put a small dummy square shaft in the winding hole to give the appearance of the original movement. It has the original makers celluloid label on the back door! A great size.

Excellent Art Deco Silver & Gold gilded (professionally restored) Barometer and Thermometer. French 1925-1930's era, spectacular piece. Overall in excellent shape, newly restored and all functions appear to work! The details of the wood carving with its draping effect and silver starburst obviously portray a serious designers hand at making an unusual decorative piece. Quite unusual and would be great addition to your Deco home or collection of clocks and scientific instruments!
