Art Deco Mahogany China Cabinet AND BuffetItem #1018 Here we have two very beautiful and impressive pieces of furniture. The workmanship, materials, design, function and flexibility all come together to produce two magnificent pieces of dining room furniture that are as lovely to behold as they are practical to use. Both cabinets are constructed of beautiful mahogany with parchment and marble details. The taller cabinet has a built-in light that illuminates automatically upon the opening of the center doors. It features four doors and lots of shelving to store china, table linens or ??? The two outer doors are constructed of a fluted mahogany while the two center doors are covered with a beautiful and tactile leather parchment. The entire cabinet sits on a glorious marble base. The longer cabinet (or buffet/sideboard) features a total of six drawers with brass pulls and plenty of shelving for storage. Again, the outer doors are made of a fluted mahogany and the inner are covered with the same leather parchment. This cabinet also sits on a hefty marble base. Mahogany Executive Office SuiteItem #948 This must surely have been created for an important 1930s French private office. Not only is the craftsmanship and attention to every detail superlative, (note the unique brass keys to the desk and bookcase locks!) but this is truly a find! A beautiful mahogany desk WITH matching bookcase(s) and a wastebasket! The joining bookcases (there are two, however they can be used separately) feature glass and wooden doors plus drawers for plenty of storage. The desk measures 57" wide X 30" depth X 30 1/2" high. There are 3 drawers below the desktop. The bookcase measurements are as follow: (1) With wooden doors and drawers - 64" W X 10 1/2" D X 63 1/4" H (2) With 2 glass doors with 3 drawers below - 53 1/4" W X 10 1/2" D X 63 1/4" H. Together, the full width is 117 1/2". The wastebasket measures 12 1/2" H X 9" W X 9"D. The chair measures 34" H X 20" W X approx. 20" D. A fantastic suite! |

Italian Rosewood ArmoireItem #935 Now this is something I bet you haven't seen before. Very beautiful and very artistic. Of course, Italian Art Deco circa 1930's beautiful materials, completely restored inside and out. This was originally a closet or armoire of sorts. It can be adapted for many uses, either in an entry way, bedroom or office area. The wood as that rich fabulous rosewood (probably Indian) with beautifully etched or sandblasted art deco figures on the doors, complimented with natural wood tambour style doors and black lacquer handles.. The doors roll back to display a beautiful interior designed with period hooks to hold clothing and umbrellas etc. Also it lights up when the doors open. The size is 63" W X 69" T X 19" D at the deepest point. The interior room area is 58" X 50" and the door opening is 44" W X 58" T. A very original and remarkable piece. |

Rosewood and Mahogany CabinetItem #934 Presented here is an exceptional cabinet, could be used in a library, dining room. It is made with fabulous Indian Rosewood and Mahogany detail. Lots of storage areas, and glass display as well. The piece stands 74" W 72" T X 20 D in total. The lower part is 74" W X 40" T X 20 " D while the upper part is 63" W X 33" T X 14" D. Both sections were designed to go together, as there are small wooden dowels that keep the top part attached to the lower part, this all helps for moving. This is a fabulous piece of 1930's French art deco. Would really complete a room. |

French Oak Architect's CabinetItem #933 Very unusual and beautiful French architects cabinet in Oak with gold leaf treatments on the handles. This would also make a great wine storage cabinet in a dining room. Or at least, someone could remove cubby hole storage and make it into a nice stereo storage viewing room cabinet. Very unusual design, the outside doors pull out to allow for storage inside the cabinet of things such as drawings, posters or anything that has a long vertical shape. The overall size is 81" wide (which includes the 4" handles on each side so 73" for the major part of the piece), 50" T X 16" D. The outside storage compartments open up another 20" on each side when full open. The front interior storage is approx. 38" X 38". Quite a handsome piece. The round gold leaf pole style handles are decorative as you access that area from the side. |

Modernist Vanity-CabinetItem #901 Here is a very special modernist vanity-cabinet in black lacquer. Still doing the research but this piece appears almost identical to the shape manufactured by Ruhlmann circa 1927 in black lacquer (with egg shell by Dunand). Historic photograph supplied from Art et Decoration magazine 1927. in any case you might take your chance, I am not selling it as Ruhlmann original by certainly a period piece in the Ruhlmann style. The mirror has a beveled edge in highly polished chrome, which swivels. The size is: 39" W X 21" D X 31" T, with mirror adding another 16"to the height. |
