Here is a wonderful side table, just restored in straight grained rosewood. Fantastic modernist streamline shape shape and design, could be used for many functions in your office or home. Would make a great TV stand, or computer desk accessory. Back is also in rosewood, but has been drilled to accomodate just about any kind of chords to allow you to hide those ugly non-art deco modern technolgy. Simple, clean design, two intersecting doors with bronzed/copper knobs.
This is a wonderful original French cabinet. Nice rosewood with front storage and closed doors, plus a nice upper vitrine with beveled glass window and glass shelves. Great modernist metal work handle and a very useful piece of furniture. Make a great display cabinet, china cabinet or display bar. The piece was made circa 1930's and although has not been newly restored, it remains in excellent condition
We just finished restoring this beautiful Art Deco office chair and it really is nice! Great shape and quite unique. Original wood with refreshed finish in great condition, new rich deep Burgundy leather upholstery and a brand new set of period style rubber casters. The chairs feels great when you sit down, it swivels and even rocks a bit back and forth. A perfect executive desk chair and I am sure it will offer the opportunity to have years and years of comfort and success. Nice wide seat and very comfortable for long term use.
We don't list items like this European Modernist Armoire often. If you are looking for that great home armoire, to store equipment, TV's or anything that allows you to put it inside and put it all away. This is of European origins, I believe either Austrian or German. It is really stunning flamed honey maple wood in very nice original condition. It is not perfect, but shows extremely well. This is a 3 door structure, the two outside sections are designed for hanging clothing and the inside section has adjustable shelves. A very useful piece of furniture. Of course you could adjust the interior compartments to accommodate your own custom needs.
Wow, I'd sure like to be sitting behind this stunning executive desk. Just in and newly refinished, original Zebra wood with tremendous wood details and marquetry. It would make just about anyone happy. Take a close look at the top, great straight grain Zebra wood. The desk is divided into 3 pieces, the top and the two drawer side pieces. Great storage with deep drawers and doors on each side. Nice easy movement for the drawers or files. The desk has a wonderful shape, the way the top jets in and follows the line of a wonderful jet black wood edge detail. Also matching feet. It would be easy to incorporate any new technology into this piece, definitely for the person with success on their mind. I don't mind.
This wonderful Art Deco Oak desk just arrived, as we say, "off the boat". A complete overhaul and a brilliant finish done in grain filled Oak. This has a great warm honey color. This design that would make a great desk or even a dining table. Very open on the bottom supported by two stepped and sculpted column style legs. Also two desk drawers and could even be used as a partner's desk.
Warm Cherry wood and restored to perfection. Nice to have this set, with both 2 armed chairs and 4 chairs without arms. The fabric is very interesting as well, a kind of neutral layered or ribbed style that has some dimension with the classic finishing touch edged in French upholstery nail work, evenly spaced all around the seat, and back. These would also fit nicely in an office setting with desks and side chairs.

If you were every looking for a highly stylized French Art Deco writing table, I think this may be one of the nicest original pieces I've seen in a long time. The size is wonderful and very useful as a desk, writing table, reception table or small vanity. I love the alternating checkerboard wood edging with these wonderful classic French faceted spindle legs. Some nice features with center drawer and round bakelite knobs as handles. Also, on the each side (left and right), there is a small cut out for storage, books or your favorite bounty.
This is an outstanding piece of furniture which we've been after for many years. Probably French in origin, and a stunning example of Art Deco marquetry using ivory and or ivoroid edging accentuated with a pull down bubble motif on the front. 3 keys supplied with ivory buttons. This piece has all of the quality, consistency and integrity of a very useful Secretary desk desgin. The inside is very stable with double metal hinges and wood supports that also come out when the desk top is lowered (this is a great feature). A nice inlaid leather writings surface and the inside has nice compartments, drawers and cozy cubby holes for storage. Additionally, there are 4 drawers logically placed below the drop down lid (all with locks that work). The base or lower part of the desk is also beautifully executed with a half round almost U shape structure which has inlay on the bottom, complimenting the total design.
A wonderful piece of furniture. The size is quite nice and could work for so many applications in your home. Beautiful dark rich Macassar ebony wood front panel face with nice contrasting medium brown Mahogany wood. Pedestal style base that gives it that great French Art Deco Style. The interior is all mirrored with one shelve and the door has a beautiful beveled edge window, outlined in the rich Mahogany. Nice practical and functional door with brass knobs.
Mahogany Sizes like this are rare and a vitrine like this would make a great display for some of your most special collectibles.
This lovely desk has many of the essential French elements you would expect from that empowered period of 1925. Nice parchment top with drawers and beautiful petite legs. A strong design look with a minimal footprint. The wood is all nicely polished Macassar. Custom made for us, very much in the tradition of Ruhlmann.
A wonderful and very spectacular Art Deco desk, a classic modernist piece. Very nice flamed mahogany wood with black lacquer trim detail. Each bank supports the desk which has 3 drawers, quite practical for organizing all your stuff. Locks for each side. Nice faceted skirt surrounds the top with ribbon flame wood throughout. Matches up nicely with the edging around the base and drawer handles. Some very serious business could be done with this well designed piece, not too round not too square, just about enough of everything!
Well we've now taken it to the next level of precise design. This wonderful small but very efficient and awfully stylish desk would make a great companion to your window seat. Very useful and well made. Two tone wood with honey walnut finish plus a tiger mahogany contrast. The knobs all have little ivory tips for solid drawer openings. This is one of our custom designs and would make a great reception desk, lap top etc. Designed with plenty of front leg room also.
Outrageous amboyna burl wood buffet with a 40's point of view. Great looking piece, must be original design with great interior storage all with working storage drawers etc. French design on unusual S shaped angled legs. Beautiful french polish finsih. 3 book-matched wild grain doors. Could be great in a dining room, study or movie room with lots of beautiful interior storage
You've probably only ever seen a piece like this in books on Art Deco. This custom suite was made for our shop, the goal was to re-create this famous Ruhlmann desk using the finest Abedul grained Birch wood (like the French amboyna wood) was chosen and the "ivorite" details were shaped and inlayed by master craftsmen working to create this timeless classic. Additionally, for the first time we created a companion piece that would allow storage, printers or whatever to help design and create a timeless room, uncluttered with all of the office elements typical of most enviornments. A real signature of the Grand Art Deco period. The finish is pure "French" polish with parchment leather inlay as part of the writing surface of the desk. The drawers are all joined in the class French tradition, heavy and meaningful. Even the chair is completed to emulate this design and of course needs to accompany the desk. The chair is upholstered in fine cream leather to match all of the inlays in the desk. It has taken almost one year to complete this and get it ready for the shop, so if this one is for you, it may be the only one for quite some time.
This one will certainly take your breath away!
Ruhlmann's legacy as a designer was the subject of a major retrospective exhibition at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2004. In 2009, he was called the "Art Deco's greatest artist" by the New York Times.

A beautiful European style Art Deco Cabinet with very nice detailing. The main wood treatment is a spectacular grained sycamore, found in a lot of European art deco furniture. What I love about this piece, first of all is the wonderful carving that runs down the front. The restoration really enhances the look with a rather contrasting point of view circa 1930's. Dark mahogany wood details the top, bottom and carved front. A perfect bookcase and/or display case for decorative objects, yet equally as functional in a bedroom for the storage of sweaters and clothing. Adjustable shelves in all areas and nice size too.
This a wonderful classic French early 1920's art deco demi-lune style storage cabinet. Please take special note of the wonderful floral marquetry in 4 panels on the front and side doors. The legs are very reminiscent of the designs of Paul Follet, Sue et Mare or my favorite Maurice Dufrene. Very high quality work throughout. It is a piece I bought about 3 years ago and has just completed a beautiful "frame off restoration". The legs are delicate and graceful. This an heirloom quality piece of furniture, I am thrilled with it. It also has two matching interior drawers with additional simple marquetry and storage. The top is all flamed crotch walnut wood with some very subtle marquetry as well. A stunning piece of furniture.
The history of this piece comes from an original smaller styled vanity we bought years ago. Originally found in Argentina, but I think the design is French. In any event, we decided to take some liberties and turn this design into a great looking desk. We increased the over-all size slightly and added a couple of banks of drawers. This is a great looking piece of furniture and quite a serviceable desk or reception piece for the right room.
Here is a spectacular piece of furniture. Custom made for our shop, it embodies all of these features: quality work, great display, wonderful wood, ivory inlay, 2 adjustable shelves. We had two, but one sold before it even hit the shores of the United States. The wood is spectacular and the U shaped pedestal bases really stands out. Its a keeper, influenced by the early 1920's and the style of Ruhlmann. A real beauty.
I call this a 1930's inspired Art Deco Hollywood Vanity because to me it's just that glamorous. However, it was originally a European designer piece we recreated. It's been constructed of warm Mahogany with an oval raised center platform of flamed Maple and it possesses an overall very unique and curvilinear outline. This is just a magnificent piece of very usable furniture-art that would enhance the beauty of any boudoir. Additionally, this piece could be fairly easily converted to a desk or console. The stool is not included, but available under item #1408 in our inventory.
Beautiful two tone wood desk, utilizing both Macassar and amboyna style wood. Very nice design, not too large, but has wonderful storage and drawers all accented with ivory key holes. This desk was made for our shop and is a one off design. Great style faceted 20"s style French legs, would be nice as a reception and working desk. Chair shown not included.
Very cool Ebony wood coat or hat stand. Lots of character and would make a great addition to any entry way or hall area. Stable base, allowing to store umbrella's and original brass hooks with a rather unusual stepped treatment following all three supports completed with a tier top. You certainly won't see one like this again.
We had to make this. You see, we noticed that there's a serious problem out there. Yes, there are TV stands and entertainment cabinets out there. But I've certainly not seen anything that looks like this. Our gorgeous Art Deco Entertainment Media Cabinet is the perfect stand for your flat screen TV and audio/video components. The exotic Birdseye Maple cabinetry boasts strong Deco design with four adjustable shelves for components and accessories. There's a convenient hole in the rear of the cabinet and the shelves are notched for your power cable(s). It's perfectly suited for the living room or bedroom or could simply be used as a stylish Art Deco locking cabinet or nightstand.
The possibilities are endless. The simple design of this beautifully made bar cart is at odds with the complexity of options it offers. It has been constructed of beautifully contrasting light and dark maple and fitted with glorious gleaming chrome hardware. There's plenty of sophisticated storage offered by way of shelving and two practical storage compartments. An elegance, functionality and sophistication of design and manufacture that is rare to say the least and oh, yes - it's on wheels!
Here's a wonderful piece of furniture that is truly as interesting and artistic as it is practical and purposeful. Expertly crafted of beautiful and richly grained rosewood and fitted with brass hardware, a roomy drawer and a bottom-hinged door that doubles as a desktop. Behind the locking door you’ll find more storage compartments and shelves all finished in a stunning Bauhaus-inspired orange lacquer. This elegant secretary would make a perfectly stylish and practical statement in any room.
The buffet/sideboard features a total of six drawers with brass pulls and plenty of shelving for storage. The outer doors are made of a fluted mahogany and the inner are covered with the same leather parchment. This cabinet also sits on a hefty marble base. Pictures and text can describe the details and the essence but the sheer beauty and impressiveness of this piece of furniture is simply beyond words.
Very unusual and beautiful French architects cabinet in Oak with gold leaf treatments on the handles. This would also make a great wine storage cabinet in a dining room. Or at least, someone could remove cubby hole storage and make it into a nice stereo storage viewing room cabinet. Very unusual design, the outside doors pull out to allow for storage inside the cabinet of things such as drawings, posters or anything that has a long vertical shape. The overall size is 81" wide (which includes the 4" handles on each side so 73" for the major part of the piece), 50" T X 16" D. The outside storage compartments open up another 20" on each side when full open. The front interior storage is approx. 38" X 38". Quite a handsome piece. The round gold leaf pole style handles are decorative as you access that area from the side.
This 1930's French cabinet is crafted in amboyna and rosewood, and features frosted glass doors in a gold. The interior cabinet has glass shelves.
This beautiful cabinet/display case would look terrific in a dining or living room. Although sold separately this cabinet happens to be a perfect match to item #747 (sideboard). Made in France during the 1930's.
Here's a gorgeous 1930s French Art Deco Macassar desk. It has been constructed of gorgeous Macassar ebony with intricate inlaid details which compliment the simplicity of design. The base design creates an airy-ness and an open feel giving this desk a modern elegance.
Austrian Desk features interesting mixed use of the original woods, both walnut and oak, lovingly restored. The drawer pulls are Bakelite. The oak was filled to blend its grain with the walnut and the combination completes a perfect restoration. The desk has two doors with storage shelves on one side and pull out drawers on the other.
