A rare model by A.Hunebelle in opalescent glass vase. Fantastic shape with geometric chevrons intertwined with a naturalistic design with a snakeskin effect moulded into the glass. I've never seen this before. It only has a slight opalescence but looks really nice when the light hits it. Signed on the vase!

Very rare black Modernist Glass Vase made and signed by HEM circa 1930. Enamel and silver leaf is used to create striking designs with a brilliant Bauhaus palatte and modern point of view. The stamp on the bottom is "tcheco-slovaque", which indicates that it was made in Czechoslovakia for the French and Belgian markets. HEM vases are black glass, embellished with silver leaf and strong colors in geometric patterns. This is one of the finest pieces of Czechoslovakian glass I have seen in the 10 years of specializing in crystal and ceramics of this period.

This is a very heavy thick walled vase and weighs almost 7.5 pounds! A beautiful and unusual pink color with wide acid etched bands around the circumference with three contrasting polished rings around the shoulder. This really is a big vase for this type of glass and measures 10 1/2" high X 8" wide, fully signed around the bottom edge DAUM NANCY FRANCE with the croix de Lorraine.

A very rare 1920's Art Deco deep acid etched Daum glass vase, this is the real thick walled heavy glass - it weighs over 6lbs! Beautiful pale orange color with black flecks acid etched right through to the clear below with a fabulous design of stylized leaves and flowers ... it looks stunning as the light catches it.

It's a great size too at 7" high X 7" wide and is fully signed around the bottom edge DAUM NANCY FRANCE with the croix de Lorraine!

Here is a wonderful little vase, in perfect red-burgundy enamel etched glass. An unusual shape, circa 1930's. This sweet piece combines the classic geometry and clouds, a pattern frequently seen in the work of Karl Palda. Very nice.

Fabulous and OOOOOOO so Deco, This Art Deco Karl Palda vase is truly magnificent and is in Perfect condition - Clear and Etched Frosted Crystal Vase with Black Enameled Geometric Design. Palda is of course one of the most sought after designers of Art Deco Glass.
This modernist design and heavy leaded glass from Czechoslovak circa 1930's is very moderne in design.
This is also very useful as long as one takes care not to use hot water, makes a great flower vase.

Beautiful original 1930's Czech glass vase, very detailed in a rich burgundy/red enamel color. This Art Deco vase has a nice repeat pattern with triangle shapes showing both wavy and straight modernist lines. There is a very fine criss/cross indented pattern that lines up with all of the edges of this octagon shaped vase. Quite unique really and nice to hold.

Here is one I have not seen before. Beautiful original Czech glass vase, very detailed in a purple enamel color. This Art Deco vase has a nice repeat pattern with diamonds and circles, some frosted, some enameled and some indented around the corners. Quite unique really and nice to hold.

A spectacular and outstanding French Vase by D'Avsen circa 1930's. This piece measures 10.50" T. On of the most sought after designs. Anything with animals generally is interesting, but elephants are not only interesting, but lucky. This is an important piece, I have rarely seen the moulded glass animal pieces. This one especially has interesting characteristics and personality.

About D'Avsen
Classic Art Deco vase created by the well known French designer Pierre D'Avesn. D'Avesn designed some of Lalique's most well known pieces including the "Serpent" and "Tourbillon" vases. His resume includes stints as designer and Manager at Daum, Sevres and Verlys. He started producing his own pieces in 1927. Pierre D'Avsen is an artist/designer whose work is of the highest quality and this is an opportunity to own a real museum piece.

This stunning Modernist vase was made in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. It is etched, enameled and engraved with a bold black and yellow geometric pattern. The curvilinear design elements that define this large asymmetrical triangular vessel and its gently tapered silhouette make it one of the most significant vases we have seen to date. This would make a wonderful addition to any glass collection, or simply a magnificent centerpiece filled with flowers.

Daum Nancy Acid-etched Glass circa 1930's, nice simple geometric shape with heavy, cast acid etching and acid wash on the outside. Typical for Daum pieces from this period. This color is usually called "topaz' tint with flared top and washed throughout the front surface.

With the utmost of 1930s Hollywood beauty and glamour, we present this rare and magnificent Art Deco Glass Triptych. This piece (quite un-surprisingly) is purported to have once resided in a grand theater in the Bay Area. It's a three-piece work of art and is made of a heavy, etched and carved glass. It possesses a silvery colored paint in the recesses which serves to further enhance the beautifully carved floral and geometric details. This rare, large and extremely collectable circa. 1937 rectangular Art Deco Modernist Crystal Vase was commissioned by the famous restaurant, La Coupole, in the Montparnasse district of Paris. This stunning piece is made of very heavy glass and has two hexagonal chrome plated brass handles at either side. The thick Modernist streamline design is etched onto both long sides of the rectangle. Additionally the piece is signed by the artist "A. Riecke" 1937".

About A. Riecke and La Coupole: Between 1930 and 1937, the restaurant La Coupole would commission Russian artist A. Riecke (living in Paris) to design and create an edition of etched glass pieces. They often have the year and a logo etched into the glass. Riecke is also known to have worked with the glass artist Lalique.

Sherry? Port? Cognac? Whatever you choose, it will be served with serious style from this rare 1930s Czech Art Deco crystal decanter. The decanter and the six delightful, petite glasses feature beautifully cut facets and striking black geometric details. The hefty crystal stopper boasts 12 facets.

Here's a very unusual 1930s Art Deco amethyst colored glass vase made in France by the Schneider company. The traditional "vase" shape of this piece is transformed into art with two protruding curvilinear glass segments that also serve to frame the tactile acid-etched lower portion of the vase. This hefty, interesting glass vessel is certainly striking with or without flowers. It is signed on the base - "Schneider".

About Scheider:
Charles Schneider was an important contributor to the 1925 Exposition des Arts Decoratifs Modernes and was awarded the French Legion of Honour in 1926. With his brother Ernest and sister Ernestine he managed one of the largest art glass factories in France during the Art Deco period. The works from the Charles Schneider glass factory used all of the glass making techniques that were developed during the 1920s.

This Czech Decanter set was made in the 1930s and has very strong Art Deco style. The stopper has a recognizable Czech emblem yet the hand-painted chevron and geometric designs and colors are not typically "Czech". This is a truly wonderful set with 6 precious glasses.

This is one of the most handsome and unusual decanter sets I have ever seen. The combination of intricate geometric patterns juxtaposed with flowers against an enamel glass etched cross-hatch pattern produce a purposeful and decidedly Deco object d'art! There is an incredible amount of painstaking detail on the decanter and each of the glasses. This remarkable set was made during the 1930s in (the then) Czechoslovakia.
