A great looking pair of stepped copper and bronze art deco sconces. So many nice details! The fluted openings allow for a special lighting effect which you can see in the photos. These wonderful American sconces also utilize a lower glass enclosed half-moon disk which casts a mellow downward incandescent light. These are in very fine original condition and the the copper and brass will always polish up to a warm glow.
Here is a wonderful pair of sconces they were discovered in our back room this week, in fact we have two pairs (4 pieces in total). These are wonderful with original modernist iron work design and some very unusual glass inserts. Great looking and if you can use 4, don't wait around, these vintage pairs do not come up often like this. The glass is wonderful, it has a rather organized stepped up modern design, very unusual.
Fresh out of unique theater setting (at least that is what I'm told)! I do love them, very sculptured and very dimensional. These have a striking modernist design with zig-zag metal treatment! They really make a statement. There are 3 colors of glass, the amber front slag panels with triangular tips to the top and bottom. White frosted side panels the can be adjusted inside to outside with just a hint of red glass, in all the right places. Nice original nickel and brass hardware. A very nice sculpted rosette on the back, perfect for hanging these lovely ladies. They even have the old style metal chain pull for on and off. Very unique and I just happen to have two pairs. Something not often found with such a unique lighting treatment. I will sell them separate, in pairs only, but if you need 4 don't wait around, they won't be hanging here long.
Great looking circular fronted glass. each sconces has 4 pieces of sand blasted glass with modernist chrome plated V shaped metal support. Made in Germany and of the highest quality. These are newly made so you can get multiples or only one, whatever you can use. Size is nice and amazing how one bulb can give off so much illumination. I love the way these look in a repeated pattern as shown here. If you ever needed more then one pair (or maybe 3 pairs) here is chance to get something stunning and certainly not from any reproduction catalogue. These are custom!
Nice Round original frosted tube glass. Chrome back plate and upper/lower supports all connected. Back plate mounts directly to the wall with 4 screws or bolts.. Shown here with small wattage bulb, but should be used with over-sized oval fish tank style bulb. Nice original condition in very simple streamline shape. Very nice original condition.
Presented here is a very exceptional pair of French Art Deco light sconces. They are signed PETITOT an important French name in this kind of Art Deco lighting. A rather unusual shape with great modernist designs in the glass and also on the metalwork. These very stylized deco sconces could be great in an entry, dining room or modernist play pen (that's how I grew up). The glass is that nice clear frosted stylized moulded quality in the manor of Degue, Mueller and all those other great French designer of the 1930's.
This is a remarkable design and pair of lights that are very close to my heart. I don't usually buy much in the way of American (industrial) lights, but these have a great pedigree. They were designed by famous industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss (who helped to shape the style and aesthetics of American culture). I have a pair in my kitchen now for 13 years and I was fortunate to be able to purchase a quantity of these (I think we have 5 pairs). These great sconces designed by Dreyfuss for the 20th Century Ltd. train cars, they were attached to the walls next to the seats and projected the light downwards for reading. Great for next to a bed or on either side of a mirror or great with a pair over a sink.
The knobs in the center of the stems unscrew and the entire top lifts off to change the bulb. They have been newly polished aluminum, solid brass stem/screws and enameled glass.
These elegant Art Deco sconces circa 1935 whisper a streamline modesty of detail. Yet, it's all there. From the beautiful cream-colored scalloped glass shades to the stepped and punctuated polished nickel-plated fixture arms, these sconces carry the perfect balance of refined elegance and eye-catching detail. These versatile sconces could be used in any room.
Here's a fabulous pair of 1930's French Art Deco Modernist sconces very much in the style of Perzel or Desny. The brushed nickel-plated bronze finished fixtures have retained their original plating and are in superb condition. The original white/opal glass shades are held in place from behind with a small brass screw. Both glass shades are in perfect condition. These sconces are a nice size at 11" High X 10" Wide with a 5" projection. They would look great anywhere in your home and especially nice in an Art Deco bathroom!
Here's a large and fantastic pair of very unusual new sconces. The body of each fixture is made of chrome and features a very strong Art Deco geometric stepped design on the top and bottom. Rather than a typical shade or glass insert, these unique sconces employ numerous alternating clear and frosted glass rods that diffuse the light with a wondrous magical effect. Each sconce can accommodate up to four light bulbs each. Please note that in our pictures only two light bulbs have been employed; in the middle section of each fixture. Due to the large size of these magnificent fixtures, they can be utilized in a large entrance hallway or for a dramatic effect on a large wall.
Here's a dazzling pair of chrome and glass Art Deco Hollywood-inspired sconces that will add drama to any wall in your home. The light makes it dramatic escape from the top and also through the glass cylinder at the bottom of the fixtures making these sconces both beautiful and very unusual.
