Fabulous lacquer Art Deco wooden panel - stylized fish in the manner of Jean DunandItem #1605 A wonderful original artist signed (C. Vanhaute, a Belgian artist) very much in the style of the great French artist Jean Dunand. This Japanese inspired lacquered panel has all of the earmarks of a great period piece. It utilizes an amazing patina with the molted dark background impressed with a school of stylized angel fish (very deco) swimming within a nice reef of well planted flora (or is that fauna)? Unique high quality original "Columbia" gramophone record-playerItem #1513 These are so much fun if you've never had or used one. This original record player was manufactured in England by the Columbia company circa 1930's and was exported to Argentina for the South American markets. This piece was sold at "Max Glucksmann on Florida street in Buenos Aires" It is a very high quality player in pristine original condition. The metal work is clean, and shiny. The machine's play "78" records which are quite available from classical, to jazz and pop recordings as early as 1920's -1950's. It require NO electricity, just a little turn of the handle. This machine is very sturdy and plays loud enough to fill a small room or take on a picnic. As you can see it all folds up to a compact size which is easily carried. Measurements: |

French Art Deco Modernist Piano Light possibly by AdnetItem #1505 Here is a wonderful chromed piano light. Great design and done of the highest quality. Bronze with chrome metal, very heavy and substantial. All of the pieces are fitted together with great precision, simplicity and elegance. The adjustment is allowed using the basic modernist design of the balls (front and back) holding up the metal lighted hood. The hood is newly painted white so it can reflect plenty of light. An Asymmetrical point of view, works visually and in every other way. Could also be used as a lighted form in a vertical position. This is where form + function + art all come together, obviously designed by someone with intent on creating a visual masterpiece maybe to go along with the piano masterpiece, we can only hope. Original French Art Deco Screen with mural image of Diana by G. IcartItem #1417 Wow, wow wow. Very nice and original painting by French artist G. Icart (famous unusual name Icart, maybe a relative of Louis Icart?) and signed in the lower left corner. This is a wonderful example of classic Art Deco. This original mural features the mythical image of Diana the huntress, with her bow and arrow riding a glorious classical white unicorn. Running through the allegorical forest with vibrant foliage abound. The piece was purchased in France. It is very well made, even the insides of all panels are painted to match the design, so however you might hang, stand or portray this wonderful painting, it will look great. I think it spent a lot of time closed up so the colors are all still vibrant with depth. The back side (or the frame) even has this wonderful art deco paper or painting as well. Circa 1930's In excellent original condition, its age shows very well. Measurements: |
